Join us for a conversation between Bay Area filmmaker Tiffany Shlain and JCC East Bay CEO Amy Tobin. Tiffany will discuss her late father's new book, “Leonardo's Brain: Understanding Da Vinci's Creative Genius,” as well as the legacy and impact of her father’s life. Author Leonard Shlain, a Bay Area surgeon who also wrote the classic “Art & Physics,” argues that Da Vinci possessed a unique intellect combining artistic and scientific genius and attained a unique state of consciousness. As part of the discussion, which takes place near Father's Day, Tiffany Shlain and Amy Tobin (daughter of the late Gary Tobin, a Jewish academic and thought-leader) will share their Six-Word Memoirs about their fathers and guide audience members in writing their own Six-Word Memoirs about a father or father figure.
