2021-2022 School Year
The Club J program is full. If you'd like to get on our waitlist or have any questions, please email Aaron Atlas at

Now that the school year has come to a close, we are busy planning for the new school year.
While fall will look different, we are excited about the possibilities, and are ready to be an in-person community again. We know that our partners at the Berkeley Unified School District are strongly considering and preparing to continue distance learning in the fall, which means we need to be ready to support your family’s needs.
We are working through several different scenarios so we can pivot quickly when BUSD establishes their plans (knowing changes may arise throughout the year). We are modeling different possible programs including:
  • Full day care where we incorporate and support your child’s distance learning need (8 hours).
  • Separate morning and afternoon programs (4 hours each).
  • An extended care day (6 hours).
  • Traditional afterschool day (4 hours).
Whichever structure we proceed with, we plan to provide school year programming beginning August 17. Please note: the JCC will not be provided with the usual bus transportation from BUSD, meaning drop offs will need to be provided by families.
We know this a lot of information and there will be more to come. Our core values will remain the same—taking care of each other, our community, and our world.
Thank you and we hope to see you soon!
