JCC Camp Tzofim's Winter Break Camp

Can't wait for summer to go back to camp? Now you don't have to! JCC Camp Tzofim is excited to announce its brand new Winter Vacation Camps. Just like JCC Camp Tzofim, campers will be split into grade groups to best support their individual needs and stages of development. Each group will have a weekly sports or arts theme related to campers’ interests.

Registration is now open! We have limited space, so don't miss your opportunity to spend Winter Break with all of your friends at JCC Camp Tzofim.

*Transportation will be provided to and from JCC East Bay’s Oakland Branch (5811 Racine St 94609). Vans leave at 8:45am each morning, and return at 4:15pm each afternoon. Extended care not available at our Oakland Branch.


Camp Age Groups and Themes

Rishonim - Starters

Kindergarten

Theme: Food, Glorious Food!
Dates: December 26–30
Rate: $350/week OR $80/day
Field Trip: Tour of Cheese Board Pizza
Description: For the second week of Winter Camp, Rishonim will learn all about how to make delicious recipes and treats. Then, to build on what they have learned, they will visit Cheese Board Pizza for a thrilling kitchen tour! Rishonim will also participate in art, sports, and music activities and go swimming twice over the course of the week. The session will conclude with an exciting themed Friday Program and Shabbat.

 

Sabra - Natives

1st & 2nd Grade

Theme: Sabra Arts – Hands-On Art
Dates: December 26–30
Rate: $350/week OR $80/day
Field Trip: Art Scavenger Hunt at Codornices Park
Description: Sabra Arts campers will interact with different forms of art, creating visual masterpieces and even tasty treats! For their field trip, Sabra Arts will participate in a hands-on, art scavenger hunt at Codornices Park! Sabra Arts campers will also participate in science, sports, and music activities and go swimming twice over the course of the week. The session will conclude with an exciting themed Friday Program and Shabbat.

Theme: Sabra Sports – Nothin’ But Net!
Dates: December 26–30
Rate: $350/week OR $80/day
Field Trip: Albany Bowl
Description: Sabra Sports campers will learn how to shoot, pass, and dribble a basketball—and play some pickup! For a break from the court, campers will go to Albany Bowl to test their skills on the lanes. Sabra Sports campers will also participate in science, art, and music activities and go swimming twice over the course of the week. The session will conclude with an exciting themed Friday Program and Shabbat.

  

Giborim & Chaverim - Heroes & Friends

3rd & 4th Grade (Giborim) and 5th & 6th Grade (Chaverim)

Theme: Giborim & Chaverim Arts - Bay Area Mixed Media Sampler
Dates: December 26–30
Rate: $375/week OR $90/day
Field Trips & Special Activities: Improv Basics with BATS Improv, Rhythmic and Choral Music class with Music for Minors, Cooking class at Kitchen on Fire
Description: JCC Camp Tzofim is teaming up with four awesome organizations to give campers a “sampler” of the diverse Bay Area art all around them. Practice improv with BATS Improv, cook at Kitchen on Fire, and find the rhythm with Music for Minors. Additionally, Giborim and Chaverim campers will split up to participate in other camp activities, such as science projects, swimming, and sports. The session will conclude with an exciting themed Friday Program and Shabbat. 

Theme: Giborim & Chaverim Sports - Skate and Shred!
Dates: December 26–30
Rate: $375/week OR $90/day
Field Trip: Berkeley Skate Park
Description: JCC Camp Tzofim and Go Skate Skateboard School are bringing skateboarding back to camp! New riders will gain the skills and safety precautions to excel, while more experienced campers will grow their abilities. Purchase a high-quality starter pack with skateboard and pads, or bring your own. Additionally, Giborim and Chaverim campers will split up to participate in other camp activities, such as science projects, swimming, and art. The session will conclude with an exciting themed Friday Program and Shabbat.
