with the Jewish Studio Project
Date: Thursday, May 25
Through an innovative mix of jewish wisdom, community building, and hands on drumming, we will prepare for the transformative revelations that are possible during Shavuot. Jewish Studio Project is thrilled to be partnering with Yari Mander, drummer and facilitator extraordinaire, who will help lead us through experience of connection and learning through active music making.
On Shavuot, we celebrate the receiving of the Torah, a revelatory scripture for the Jewish people. Tradition teaches that the giving of Torah was not a one time deal, but is an ongoing act that happens anew in every generation.
So much is turning in the world today! Together, let's investigate the radical nature of revelation in our current generation through Jewish text, multi-media art tools and reflection. Join us for this final workshop of the 2016-2017 Dare to Prepare Series!
The Jewish Studio Project activates creativity in individuals and communities to reclaim Jewish values, make meaning in our lives, and restore hope to the world. Come as you are.
Date: Tuesday, May 30 - Wednesday, May 31
Time: 6:00pm - 7:00am
Stay tuned for the 2017 Tikkun Program!
