Van Transportation  

Van pick-ups from local elementary schools are available for Olam Yeladim participants. Two 15-passenger, safety-equipped and CHP inspected Youth buses and two JCC mini vans are used to pick up students. Past pick-ups have included the following schools: Chabot, Crocker, Sequoia, Cleveland, Hillcrest, Joaquin Miller, Kaiser, Montclair, Redwood Day, Beth Abraham, Carl Munck, Peralta, Redwood Heights, Thornhill, and OHDS. In order for us to schedule regular pickup and drop-off transportation, a minimum of three children per stop per pick-up time is required. Additional pick-up points can be established as demand dictates.

All passengers are required to wear seat belts and our van drivers are CHP certified and licensed. The drivers have experience with children, establish good communication with them, and take great care to ensure that all children are picked up as scheduled. We use cell phones which connect the van drivers to the JCC office to account for late or absent children before the van leaves the school.
