JCC Team East Bay Delegation

The JCC Maccabi Games & Artsfest are a week of sports and art, social events, Jewish identity, and community for Jewish teens ages 13-16. The largest gathering of Jewish teens in the world!

Jewish teen athletes and artists come from across North America, Israel, and all over the world for a week of competition and community. Teens make friends from the East Bay to London. Through staying with a local host family for five days our delegation is brought in with welcoming arms to the host area's Jewish community.

This year Team East Bay is most likely headed to Ft.Lauderdale the week of August 9th-14th

History of the JCC Maccabi Games

The JCC Maccabi Games have been offering Jewish teens a unique social, cultural, and life shaping experience since 1982. At this Jewish Olympic style event, each athlete participates in one of fourteen sports, social events, and an opportunity to help others during the weeklong experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The JCC Maccabi Games is an Olympics for Jewish teens, but they serve a larger purpose than athletic competition. The Games also promote community involvement, teamwork, and pride in being Jewish. The Games are the largest Jewish teen event in the world; each summer over 6,000 Jewish teens participate. Over 100,000 teens have benefited from the JCC Maccabi Games since 1982. The energy and excitement makes it a unique and unforgettable experience for every participant, from athlete to volunteers, from coaches to host families.

The JCC Maccabi Games are made possible with the generous help of many volunteers and sponsors who donate time and valuable resources, including our Continental Sponsor, The Coca-Cola Company.

Ages 13-16. Athletes must be 13 or 16 as of July 31, 2014. Sports subject to change and limited by location.
