Throughout the year many holiday events are held at the JCC East Bay as a place to gather, learn, and celebrate. Some of these holidays include Purim, Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and Hanukah. We hope you'll join us for the variety of celebrations and services we offer for each holiday.

Holiday Preparation – Dare to Prepare: Reaching Towards the Outstretched Arm

Sunday, April 17

Time: 4:00 pm

Location: Berkeley Branch

Passover is around the corner! Are you ready? In the Haggadah, we read that the Divine reaches towards us with an outstretched arm. Are we prepared to reach back? Come activate your imagination and immerse yourself in a unique blend of Jewish learning, hands-on creative inquiry and community making. In this workshop we’ll delve into traditional and modern Passover texts, looking at these sources through the lens of our own life experience. We’ll then open them up through creative exploration to add our stories and images to those of the tradition. Join the Jewish Studio Project for a dynamic afternoon will open your heart and ready you for the Festival of Freedom. Open to all, no experience required or expected.

In Residence: The Jewish Studio Project
The Jewish Studio Project uses creative exploration to strengthen connections to tradition, self, and community.
