Tuesday, November 28 is #GivingTuesday. Want to make a positive change in your community? The JCC East Bay is offering plenty of ways that you can give back.

Show your love for the JCC East Bay.

Donate to support the JCC East Bay's diverse programs, which provide vital opportunities for our community to connect and learn together. All gifts will be matched (up to $90,000).

Want to make a difference in the community? Read below for the ways our JCC communities are spreading the joy of giving.

Give to our JCC-wide drive.

In addition to this project, the JCC East Bay is hosting a book drive at its Berkeley Branch in partnership with Jewish Coalition for Literacy to support kids in public schools across the East Bay. Please bring new or “looks like new” books for children, ages 5-9 or grades K-3. Multicultural and bilingual books appreciated. (Please no scribbled, yellowed, or worn pages. Inscriptions are fine. No baby, teen or adult books).

 

Preschool Drive

Preschool is collecting nonperishable foods to donate to local food banks. Drop off items at the preschool gate box through December 8!

Afterschool Drive: Club J

Want to make a difference in the community? Your donation of brand-new children's toys and games, along with gift cards, which will be wrapped at our annual Hanukkah festival, will be donated to the JFCS Holiday Giving Program. Recipients are newly arrived refugees, immigrants, and low-income families. Gift cards will go to LGBTQIA refugees.

Collection begins Monday, November 20 and runs through Friday, December 8. Drop off brand-new children's toys and games, and/or gift cards at the Berkeley Branch, 1414 Walnut St or at Club J. 

Afterschool Drive: Kids Club at Joaquin Miller

Want to make a difference in the community? As part of our contribution to the cause, we will be organizing a sock drive for the needy and it will run from Monday, November 27 until Friday, December 8. We will be accepting  BRAND NEW socks of all sizes and would really appreciate program-wide participation. 

Afterschool Drive: Kids Club at Cleveland

In honor of #GivingTuesday, Kids Club Cleveland is giving back. The organization we are partnering with is the East Oakland Community Project, located at 7515 International Blvd in Oakland, CA 94612. We’re launching on Monday, November 27, and will continue collection until Friday, December 8, 2017. You may drop off items at Sign Out in the Kids Club Area @ Cleveland Elementary.

In our Clean & Cozy Drive we will be collecting:
-New Toiletries: Toothbrushes, body lotion, deodorant, mouthwash, small washcloths
-New Cozy Attire: Gloves, Scarves, Hats, Sweaters, Socks and Jackets

Your help matters.
We are partnering with the East Oakland Community Project, which is a multi-service organization offering emergency and transitional housing in Alameda County for less homed individuals and families. This a local organization serving our direct community less than 2 miles from our school.
