Lisa will read from Celebrating Brit Shalom, her book of ceremonies for Jewish parents who question the circumcision tradition. She will also discuss ways in which progressive Jewish institutions can send a message of inclusion to Jewish families choosing not to circumcise.
Lisa Braver Moss is a writer whose work has appeared in the Huffington Post, Tikkun, Parents, and many other publications. She is the author of the 2010 novel The Measure of His Grief and co-author, most recently, of Celebrating Brit Shalom, the first book written specifically for Jewish families opting out of circumcision. Lisa also conceived and spearheaded the movement toward open inclusion of non-circumcising families in Jewish life.
