The months before a baby arrives are filled with questions: Which name will we choose? How will we juggle work and family? And, increasingly, will we circumcise our son?

For parents choosing not to circumcise, or wondering about that option, it's hard to know where to begin -- or how to ensure that their sons will be fully welcomed into their faith. Celebrating Brit Shalom tackles those issues and includes comprehensive resources for creating a ceremony that honors both the Abrahamic covenant and a parent's choice.

Join us as Lisa Braver Moss reads from her book, discusses ways progressive Jewish institutions can support families who choose not to circumcise, and answers questions about the emerging ritual of brit shalom.

Lisa Braver Moss is a writer whose work has appeared in the Huffington Post, Tikkun, Parents, and many other publications. She is the author of the 2010 novel The Measure of His Grief and co-author, most recently, of Celebrating Brit Shalom, the first book written specifically for Jewish families opting out of circumcision. Lisa also conceived and spearheaded the movement toward open inclusion of non-circumcising families in Jewish life.
