A Bay Area Book Festival Event, Sponsored by the JCC East Bay

With Jonas Luscher, Paul Murray, and Doree Shafrir, moderated by J.K. Dineen

Most of us put financial talk on a list reserved for root canals and trips to the DMV -- that is, things we dread. But this group of sharp, witty authors has found the hilarity in writing about money.

Join Jonas Luscher (author of the German Book Award-nominated Barbarian Spring), Paul Murray (author of The Mark and the Void, which has been described as "probably the funniest novel ever written about a financial crisis"), and Doree Shafrir (author of Startup and Senior Culture Writer at BuzzFeed) to hear how, and why, they turned the big-money world into a backdrop for their hilarious novels.

Come giggle about green. Cackle about cash. Just get ready to see the lighter side of money (for an hour, at least).

This event will take place in the Boiler Room at Hotel Shattuck Plaza.
