Early Childhood Education Application Process
We recommend that parents visit the school to learn more about the preschool, see the facilities, observe the daily routines and ask any questions they may have about our program. We provide tours of the preschool beginning in late October and ending in the spring. Parents are to complete an Early Childhood Education Application Form for each child. Each application must be accompanied by a one-time application fee of $50.00 in order to have your child considered for enrollment. This fee is non-refundable. Checks should be made out to JCC of the East Bay.
After you apply to the JCC East Bay Preschool or Bridge-K Progams, your application will be reviewed and your child will be considered for admission. Parents are welcome to contact us at any time to find out the status of their application.
The last phase of the application process is notification and, if the student is accepted, issuance of an Enrollment Agreement. The Enrollment Agreement must be signed and returned within ten days including the enrollment fees. Submitting the signed contract and deposit secure the applicant’s place in the Preschool or Bridge-K classroom.
Priority for acceptance to the Preschool or Bridge-K is based upon the following criteria when the completed application is submitted:
- Siblings of currently enrolled children in the Preschool
- Children of employees of the JCC East Bay Preschool
- Families that are registered in the JCC Afterschool programs and alumni families
